One of  the worst things in life is finding yourself in a situation and not knowing how to help properly …especially at sea!

In this regard SSI Diver Stress & Rescue training directly after the Open Water Diver course is advisable and highly rewarding. Maybe you have already been in a stressful diving situation where you did not know what to do. In this course you will develop self-rescue skills, search and recovery techniques and learn how to assist other divers in need both in and out of the water.

Various exercises and scenarios are acted out such as the exhausted diver on the surface, panicked divers, unconscious divers who have stopped breathing underwater, missing divers, divers without air supply, divers who are stuck and controlled emergency ascents with simulated victims.

Many divers find this a highly resourceful and rewarding experience leaving them well prepared to handle a variety of underwater emergency situations.
