We are also thrilled to announce the start of a new era at Coraya Divers! As of 1st January 2026, we will have officially transitioned to become a part of the PADI family, and will therefore be part of the PADI village during the Boot show.

We loved our time with SSI, but we are constantly looking for ways to offer you the absolute best experience possible. After listening to feedback and looking at the global diving landscape, we decided to partner with the world’s leading dive organization.

Why we made the change:

  • The “Global Passport”: PADI is the most recognized dive certification in the world. Whether you are diving with us or traveling to a remote island in the Pacific, a PADI card is instantly recognized and respected.
  • Cutting-Edge Education: PADI’s new digital learning platform and educational materials are high quality and ever-improving, ensuring you learn safely and comfortably.
  • A Larger Community: You are joining the largest network of ocean lovers on the planet.
  • Conservation Focus: Our upgrade includes a partnership with the PADI AWARE Foundation. A portion of PADI’s ecosystem is dedicated to ocean conservation, marine debris removal, and shark protection. Your certification is no longer just a license to dive; it’s a contribution to protecting the ocean we love.
  • Employability: We are future-proofing your diving. Should you ever decide to turn your passion into a profession, PADI Professionals are the most sought-after in the industry. By training in this system now, you are building a resume that is accepted by virtually every employer in the diving world.
  • Unmatched Flexibility: With the largest network of dive centers on earth, PADI makes “Referral courses” seamless. Start your training at home, finish with us, or vice versa—anywhere in the world.

What this means for you:

You will notice a very small adjustment in our course pricing compared to before . This reflects the premium nature of PADI materials and certification fees. However, we believe this small increase delivers massive value—giving you a certification that holds the highest resale value in terms of travel and recognition.

Already an SSI Diver? Don’t worry! Your certifications are valid forever. We still welcome divers from all agencies (SSI, CMAS, NAUI, etc.) to dive with us. If you wish to continue your education, crossing over to the PADI system is seamless.

We can’t wait to show you the new materials and get you in the water.

Happy Bubbles,

The Coraya Divers Team

Dear guests and friends of Coraya Divers,

What a year we have had.

The permanently changing travel conditions made live really difficult for all of us. That’s why we are sincerely grateful to all of our customers who managed to make it to Coraya under these difficult circumstances. But our gratitude also goes to our base managers, who were able to keep up the well known quality level, to organize the business and motivate their teams. Indeed a difficult task, but they all performed excellently!

Romana and Kris in Brayka Bay, Radka in the- now renamed- Steigenberger Alaya, (she even had to build an almost completely new team from August onwards) and of course our ‘longest serving’ Sandra and Jens in Coraya Bay. Over the last five years they  did a great job in developing the business even further. Their contract Read more
